Exclamation How to stop email sending by a group of users during a certain time period every day

    Hi!

I have what I thought was a strange request by a client, which I have been researching.

Please, is it possible to restrict sending email (but not receiving) for a number of users during a time period for the day?
Zimbra version deployed is 7.1.1 GA, a multiserver setup (1 LDAP Master, 2 Zimbra Proxies/LDAP Replicas and 2 Mailstores.)

Eagerly searching for a solution, please advise!

    Thanks in anticipation

    Take a look at MxHero.

    Thanks!

Does this work with ZCS Open Source, and is there no native means of doing this in Zimbra itself?

Yes mxhero works only with Open Source and would not work with NE or particularly with MAPI connections. This is an very good policy management software along with AS/AV application. Though you need to master your spamassassin skills since natively mxhero doesn't support all the options but overall I would rate 9 out of 10 for mxhero application

Ouch. I don't have any spamassassin skills to speak of. Im hoping i can just circumvent any AV/AS aspects and just control email flow. Pity Zimbra open source doesn't support this natively.

Neither commercial version support AS policy management? You will have to master your spamassassin skills. Trust me its very simple and you just need to understand the scoring mechanisms and Modules.
