Angry Users with forward set receive duplicate messages at destination

    Hello,

I have this problem with a new installation of Zimbra, that I am trying to solve for the last days, without success.
Everything is running smoothly, except for one thing: the accounts that have forward addresses configured receive duplicate messages at the destination every single time.

I tried everything and read thousands of articles on the Internet, without any luck.

Can anyone give me some advice please?
I can post every detail of the installation, just ask.

    Regards,
    Francisco Maia

    Thumbs up Solved (Kind of)

    Just a follow up.

After some more hours of debugging, I found these links:
    Mail being virus scanned twice?
Bug 79585 – Antivirus launched twice on outgoing mails

It seems that we are affected by the same problem.

I disabled the virus scanner and the problem is now gone. We have a anti-spam/anti-virus MX before the Zimbra (the final destination), so this is not a big problem.

    Does anyone know:
    a) When 8.0.3 is out?
    b) If there is a workaround to fix this bug while the update doesn't come out?

    Regards,
    FM

    Hello,
do you mean the recipient of the forward receives duplicate messages?
Did you check the maillog file for clues?

    Regards

FIXED: Applied Release 8.0.3_GA_5664.RHEL6_64_20130305090204 CentOS6_64 FOSS edition.

I'm having the duplicate email forward issue too on Release 8.0.2_GA_5569.RHEL6_64_20121210115059 CentOS6_64 FOSS edition.

I already verified the fix from years ago is correct:
    -o receive_override_options=no_header_body_checks,no_ unknown_recipient_checks,no_address_mappings

On the receiving server side, here are the differences I see excluding timestamps of a second apart and different message IDs...

    ---------------------
    ****autolearn=ham version=3.3.1 ****autolearn=unavailable version=3.3.1
****by <receiving domain> (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8F53A54749 ****by <receiving domain> (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6899254570
****by <sending domain> (Postfix) with ESMTP id CB67C143F64 ****by <sending domain> (Postfix) with ESMTP id C788B143F3D

Would you like to describes what's the solution for the problem? Does this means apply the latest binary (currently zcs 8.0.3) fixed your issue or does this means editing /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/master.cf.in for : -o receive_override_options=no_header_body_checks,no_ unknown_recipient_checks,no_address_mappings would be need for resolve the problem?

    Thank you
    Best Regards
