Hello,

I've had a Zimbra Open Source system since 2010 and all my users and me have kept accumulating emails into folders, deleting only the emails we did not want to keep.

Our accounts have grown in the Gb range in size.

I now need to send temporarily my accounts to another server, preferabbly in the cloud (I'm looking at 01.com right now), because a fire happenned and my server is a little shaky (the CPU fan might fail).

The accounts are a little big to carry around.

What I'd like to do is to "archive" old emails and keep only the last year of emails in the accounts, but be able to bring them back after the disaster recovery.

Is there a way to do this from the CLI to extract messages from the database in a format that can be re-inserted after? Can I put all those messages into an external storage and bring them back where they were later?

Thanks!
Bernard
