Perdition qestion

I was having problems with SSL , once a week IMAP stopped getting mail. Support adviced me to do that :http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title=Perdition to offload the SSL.

This wiki article is clear but one thing I have to ask to be 100% sure. After configuring perdition like in the article, will client connect still to the same ports ?

now is such situation:


tomcat - 143 (IMAP) - client
after perition setup i assume will be like that :
tomcat - 7143 - perdition - 143 - client


can somebody confirm that ?

Yep, that's how it works. Perdition will handle the incoming connections and SSL work and proxy the request to the real server process. The clients should never know that you changed anything.
