Default Zimbra is running very slow

    Hi all,

My Zimbra server has started to run really slow recently. It takes about 20 seconds to open/delete an email and sometimes longer to just send a message. Can you please help me fix the issue?

    Thanks

Not really, there's no information about ZCS version, number of users, how the connect to the server, how much RAM, what the specifications are of the server what diagnostic information you've gathered, what threads and solutions you've tried from the forums nor anything that would allow anyone to give you useful advice.
    Regards

Phoenix is asking the right questions, you have to give us more information about your system so we can help you accordingly.

If you are running Zimbra 8.x, on most of the systems I have seen and worked on the problem you have described was caused by Java using 100% of CPU. Check it with the "top" command and send us the results.

There are already threads about the Java problems here on the Zimbra forums.

I can confirm the issue with Java on an Ubuntu 12.04 Server, moreover the RAM also is burned away.

On a weekly basis, I clean the raw logs:

    Code:
    “./zmlogswatchctl stop”
    “logmysql -D zimbra_logger”
    “delete from amavis;”
    “optimize table amavis;”
    “delete from mta;”
    “optimize table mta;”
    “delete from raw_logs;”
    “optimize table raw_logs;”
    “quit”
    “./zmlogswatchctl start”
Not sure what other commands to run, would you please help me?
