Zimbra unable to complete install and start services

Hello,

I am trying Zimbra for the first time in a test environment and worth note also that I have limited knowledge of linux. I am installing Zimbra on Centos and I am stuck with the installation as I will show in the following outputs:

How is anyone supposed to give you an answer without any debugging information or anything from the log fiiles? I would hazard a guess the the text I've highlighted is most likely to be the problem. Do you actually have valid A & MX DNS records plus a correct /etc/resolv.conf and a valid and correct /etc/hosts file? Have you also disabled SElinux and the firewall on this server? Installing ZCS on CentOS is one of the easiest to do if you have the correct requirements install and configured before you start. Have you also read the product documentation, specifically the Single Server Installation Guide?

The hosts file should always contain an entry like the following:

1.2.3.4 centoslpt.localhost.localdomain centoslpt

You should also ensure that the system is configured properly in DNS. That's where the resolve.conf comes in, and you'll also need to configure local DNS, which is mentioned in the split DNS article phoenix mentioned. Having it configured at least in /etc/hosts may be all you need to at least get it running.
