Default 'Some services are not running' in Zimbra Administration page

I just finished installing Zimbra for the first time on my dedicated server running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and when I go to https://mail.mydomain.com:7071 and log into my Admin console, I get an error at the top that says "Some services are not running" with a "Server Status" link to the right. When I click that link, it shows that spell, ldap, snmp, stats, mta, mailbox, logger, antispam, and antivirus all have a red X next to them.

When I do a su - zimbra followed by zmcontrol status, it shows them all as running:

    Code:
    antispam Running
    antivirus Running
    ldap Running
    logger Running
    mailbox Running
    mta Running
    snmp Running
    spell Running
    stats Running
    zmconfigd Running
Also in the admin console, under Runtime it says Service: Service failed

Anyone happen to know why I am getting this error?

I've also noticed services not running since upgrading to 8.0.2 however, it's a new server named localhost above the correct server. zmcontrol status is fine:
    Code:
    [zimbra@tifa tmp]$ zmcontrol status
    Host tifa.greenberry.co.uk
            antispam Running
            antivirus Running
            ldap Running
            logger Running
            mailbox Running
            mta Running
            snmp Running
            spell Running
            stats Running
            zmconfigd Running
Here's an image of how it looks. The server seems to be running fine, but anything red surely can't be good!

I seem to be having a problem attaching an image to this post, so here's a link to it instead:

Mine is similar to your image above, except mine doesn't show localhost, it only shows my domain and EVERYTHING has a red X and this is what my admin panel's home page looks like:

    zimbra.jpg

Anyone know how I can fix this?

well this is really strange. This morning, logging into the console and I'm greeted with no warning messages at all, so I check the server status page and I just have tifa.greenberry.co.uk listed with all green ticks and no sign of localhost at all!

I have no idea what caused the issue in the first place apart from upgrading from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2 and I have no idea on what fixed it apart from logging in this morning!

I shall monitor and report back if anything changes again!

I ended up asking one of my friends about this who works with Zimbra everyday for his job. I am actually surprised how atrocious the support is on here on Zimbra's forums. I asked three separate problems and didn't get help for any of them and had to go to my friend to help me figure out what was wrong.

Zimbra needs to have better user support... I'm not even going to bother posting how I fixed my issues.

You seem to have some misunderstanding of what these forums are, they are Community Supported forums not official Zimbra support. People who post on these forums do so voluntarily and when they have the time - nobody is obliged to post here.

    I had the same problem,

I found it was due to the absence of zimbra crontab who launch an regulary interval the process /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog responsible of the server status reporting in the administration console.

My installation is Zimbra 8.0.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bits

I don't know why this crontab was not created during the installation, but here is what I do to correct it :

    1. give access to zimbra user to the /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/crontabs folder :

    sudo chown -R zimbra:zimbra /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/crontabs
    2. log as zimbra user

    sudo su - zimbra
    3. Concatenate all files in this folder

    cat crontab >> crontab.zimbra
    cat crontab.ldap >> crontab.zimbra
    cat crontab.logger >> crontab.zimbra
    cat crontab.mta >> crontab.zimbra
    cat crontab.store >> crontab.zimbra
    4. create the zimbra crontab

    crontab crontab.zimbra
Once it's done the command crontab -l will give somethink like that :

    # ZIMBRASTART -- DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING BETWEEN THIS LINE AND ZIMBRAEND

This can happen to a distro either RHEL or Ubuntu when Postfix/sendmail is uninstalled. While using yum remove or apt-get uninstall and you have a bare install crontabs and sysstat can appear be a dependency that can be uninstalled.

Here is an example from RHEL removing postfix before Zimbra install notice crontabs is in the list of dependencies to be removed.
