ZCS 8 open source edition - solution for Microsoft Outlook Connector (ZCO) ??

Is there or will there be a soltuion for user wanting to remain on ZCS 8 opensource edition and be able to use Microsoft Outlook ?


Is there an open source community solution like Zextras' mobile PAID solution ?

Z-Push (search the forums for details).

Because if there is a opensource solution or a PAID solution for ZCO I will stay on the open source edition.

what is z-push ? will this allow the use of Microsoft outlook with the open source edition ?

Z-Push handles mobile phone syncing, it's a Open Source Active Sync implementation. Funambol will allow you to sync Outlook to Zimbra.

Is funambol only for calendar and contacts ? What about email ?

My guess is that you'd setup email as IMAP and funambol to sync everything else. I've personally only set it to sync Outlook's calendar for a friend. She uses Seamonkey for email, but likes the Calendar features of Outlook.

You're really going to have to put some effort into researching what exactly these solutions will do for you, read the forum threads on Funambol and Z-Push or any of the other solutions posted in the forums.

what I am looking for is help and guidance thats why i came to the forum. your posts are incomplete and obscure, it's like speaking another language to someone who does not understand that foreign language. You have many more years experience with Zimbra that I. my years experienxce is Zero.

At least, point me to a specific thread or wiki to begin from or a knowledgeable zimbra expert that I can communicate with and maybe even hire.
