Question Zimbra 8.0.1 - Login authentication error with external LDAP

I'm trying to login Zimbra using external LDAP which is openLDAP. When I test login authentication using Zimbra Administration console, test is successful like this:

    test_ok.png

But I can't login Zimbra using Web client. Getting an error like this:

    Code:
The username or password is incorrect. Verify that CAPS LOCK is not on, and then retype the current username and password.
    Authentication Settings
    Code:
    Authentication mechanism: External LDAP
    LDAP bind DN template: uid=%u,ou=staff,dc=ibu,dc=edu,dc=tr
    LDAP URL:	ldap://194.27.225.102:389/
    Enable StartTLS:
    LDAP filter: uid=%u
    LDAP search base: ou=staff,dc=ibu,dc=edu,dc=tr
Use DN/Password to bind to external server: Yes
    Bind DN: cn=admin,dc=ibu,dc=edu,dc=tr

Have you defined the user in Zimbra (you need to do that)?

Why "of course"? You'd be surprised how many people don't.

The authentication test is just that, a test that you can login to the server. The error message means what it says, you have entered the wrong user and or password in addition it might also mean that perhaps the base you've used to search the external server might be incorrect. Have you tried running an ldapsearch against the external LDAP server to confirm the base is correct and that you can also find the user account?
    Regards

I found the user using ldapsearch command line tool. I think that the problem can be about with encryption methods. For the sake of demontration, I kept this sample user's password as cleartext. Are there any settings for this?
