4.5RC1 and preauth

I installed zcs 4.5rc1 in a test environment. I was eager to see the new basic web client which seems to be more suitable for modem/ISDN Users.

On our production zimbra server we use preauth for SSO.
Is preauth also available to the new basic web client (to directly login users into the basic web client)?

IIRC, we added a new query param to preauth so you should be able to specify the URL to redirect to. For example:

  {existing-preauth-url}&redirectURL=/zimbra/h/

I think that should work. If not, can you please file a bug and we'll make sure to look at it before 4.5 ships?

It works for me to... perfect... It is also possible, to combine preauth with starting the basic client in mail compose mode:

http://yourserver/service/preauth/?<PREAUTH-CODE>&redirectURL=/zimbra/h/search?action=compose%26to=address%40domain.com%26 subject=hello
