What version are you currently running? There were some fixes in 4.0.2 to the zmmtaconfig daemon that may resolve this problem.

If you have sporatic DNS timeouts or zmmtaconfig can not contact ldap, zmmtaconfig may inadvertantly shutdown these services.

Thanks Brian, i was waiting for you about 10 days
Zimra is the best mail server and the most beautiful webmail that i seen! thats why i resist on that while ist gettin crache everynight.

    Im currently using zcs-4.0.4 on FC5, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ and 2G Memory

Running a major website that EATS my server resources, specially memory and i think my problem is high memory usage at my peak website traffic

is it possibe to disable amavis daemon to reduce Zimbra server loads?

Yes, you can turn off amavis via the antispam/antivirus checkboxes in the Admin UI.

Also make sure you have local entries for your server in /etc/hosts.
