Non Zimbra emails in GAL

Hi,

We've got a customer requesting the ability to add arbitrary email contacts into the GAL for their domain.

I've read http://www.zimbra.com/forums/users/3...ing-6-0-a.html and GAL Sync Account - Zimbra :: Wiki but can't get it to work.

If I add a contact into the _zimbra folder of galsync@example.com I would expect it to show up in the Global Address List, but it doesn't. Only the accounts under @example.com show in the list.

What am I missing?

Galsyncaccount syncs from ldap so any account you add in @example.com will be displayed there.so it will ot workout the way you want it.if you want to add other email contacts you can have it through some external datasource through galsyncaccount.
do some research for that and you will get the answer.
