Zimbra 8.0.1 - Problem trying to compose new message or reply (Ajax problem ?)

Zimbra 8 fresh install, upgraded to 8.0.1 on ubuntu 12.04 LTS x64

Nothing happens trying to compose a new mail or replaying to a mail, it only works if I enable the option to compose new e-mails in a new windows.

Tested on Firefox 16 and IE 9 on windows 7, Firefox 16 on ubuntu 12.04 and Safari 5.1.7 on Mac Os X.

Reading some other posts here I've tried to disable all zimlets and flush zimlet cache, tried to launch upgrade again, tried to fix permission... but the problem remains.

It seems to be an AJAX problem, when I go to html mode all works correctly.

I've discovered that admin user doesn't had this problem, I've done some tests, all imported account from another zimbra installation are affected but if I create a new account it works perfectly. It seems that the problem is caused by users migration, but I can't understand why.

Update: The problem appear when using Child Account, if I enable a child account for one user, that user cannot compose mail anymore... this is a big problem for us...

I've found a problem in ZCS 8.0.1, when I enable a child account for a user with zmprov ma user1@domain.com +zimbraChildAccount zimbrachildID and then zmprov ma user1@domain.com +zimbraPrefChildVisibleAccount zimbrachildID, user1 cannot compose new message or reply to a message anymore, it only works if I enable "always compose in new window"

If I remove zimbraPrefChildVisibleAccount all works correctly

We need child account for almost every user, folder sharing is not enough so any help will be appreciated!

Do not start a new thread when you already have one open on the same topic, I'll merge the two threads. I'd suggest you go to bugzilla and search for this problem (also look at the Resolve/Verified/Closed bugs).

Ok, thank you phoenix, I've finally understood what's the problem, family mailbox are not available anymore. I don't understand why a core feature like this has been removed.

The answer to your question about a child account is also mentioned in bugzilla, did you search the Closed/Resolved/Verified bugs?

Yes, I've searched the Closed/Resolved/Verified bugs but perhaps I didn't understand something. What I've understood is that there were some bugs in the family mailbox system but I didn't understand why not resolve these bugs instead of completely remove an important feature like this.

Is this correct ?
