    Default Migration from 7.1.3 (Centos 5.7) to 8.0.1 (Centos 6.3) - both 64-bit

I need to migrate from zimbra 7.1.3 to 8.0.1 (both are FOSS edition) and change OS from 5.7 to 6.3 , and need to change the default domain once migration is over.

I installed 8.0.1 in the new machine and used the import wizard and it could only import the accounts. How can I have at the minimum Distribution lists, aliases and forwards migrated along with the accounts and domains?

Every documentation I read is telling me different stories, and are old. So with 7.1.3 to 8.0.1 I am expecting migration should be really easy, with some tools rather than using rsync on same zcs version and later upgrading.

Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks

I can tell you that the rsync/update version should work. I've tried various variations on that theme, but my entire installed is sitting on network storage so instead of rsync, I just mount the correct file system and install over it.

The other option might be to do a full backup on 7.1.3, install 7.1.3 on the new server and do a restore, then do an upgrade.

i can say only the same as vladi, for me the migration with rsync works perfectly from centos 5.8 ZCS 7.2.1 2 centos 6.3 ZCS 8.0.1!
it is really simple, because i test first also this migration wizard with ldap and it only imports account data no mailboxes

From my own experience, the only tool that can migrate all data, all settings ..etc even changing the default zimbra hostname and domain is the zextras mig tool.
