Imap Fallback

Hi

I was wondering if it's possible to have Imap fallback, i.e If the account doesnt exist on my new ZCS 7/8, the proxy redirect to my old ZCS 5, and i can migrate one account at a time.

The account must exist on your server, creating an account does more than just allow it to receive mail. If you're going to run two servers in the same domain the search the forums and/or wiki for "Split Domain".

Thanks for your answer but i'm asking about IMAP, not message delivery (smtp ...)

The goal is to avoid reconfiguring Outlook/Thunderbird but still having 2 Imaps servers for the time of the migration.
I already have an external smtp server (not Zimbra).

What you describe could be done via zimbra proxy, but since your versions are so vastly different, I think your life will be MUCH easier if you just take some downtime and do the migration. It'll save a lot of potential errors and headaches.
