    Default Rerturn receipt not working?

    Hello, I performed a fresh installation of Zimbra CE 8 and users are facing now with a return receipt problem. When composing a message, if I select from the options dropdown menu "request return receipt", then the reciepient has no notification about this request.

    Is this a bug?

    Hello symo,

    Have u checked option under COS?
    If not by default the read receipt is set as "never", so u need to enable that option. Path is
    Home -> Configure -> Class of service -> select the desired COS or create your own -> Preferences -> Receiving mail -> last option is Send read receipt : set it as "Prompt".
    save the changes.

    Hello jaypd, I followed your instructions but read receipt is not working...tested sending mail opened with Microsoft Outlook but I have no prompt about read confirmation. Any ideas?

    Ok. Do U have Some one in Your Organization with Outlook 2007 ? In that case Check with that and update us.

    Tried with Outlook 2007. No read receipt...
