outlook import contacts from pst

I've imported contacts into the default folder using Outlook import from PST. The contacts are imported properly, but not sycn'd to the server.

The web version of the contact folder is empty.

I know the folders are sync'd because if I add a contact with the web UI the new contact will appear in outlook amongst the contacts i've imported.

But, never do the contacts I imported sync to the WEB UI.

I can't use the import wizard because it mangles the notes (bug ack'd by Zimbra last week).
