zmztozmig - upload too large

I have been trying migrate several email accounts from ZCS open source 7.2 to ZCS NE 8. All of my accounts except two copy over successfully. The two accounts that fail are approximately 2.5 GB. The 7.2 server has 4GB of RAM and the 8 server has 8 GB. On both servers I have increased the following setting:

zmlocalconfig -e rest_request_max_upload_size=2800000000

...and restarted ZCS.

I have tried going from the 7.2 server to the 8.0 and from the 8.0 server to the 7.2 server. I am still getting the "upload too large" message. Here is the output of zmztozmig:

Has anyone had a similar problem and worked out a solution?

I think you have set the rest_request_max_upload_size too low, 2800000000 bytes is only ~2.6 GB, and quite close to the mailbox size of 2.5 GB. Depending on your filesystem, blocksize etc. this may just be too low. Try setting it to 4 GB and then try again.

just got the same issue in my migration from ZNE 7 to 8. Does anyone found a solution even if it's involving to use another method ?

I've tried to increase the "rest_request_max_upload_size" but it doesn't change anything.

Found the solution here: VMware KB: Uploading a large file via REST to the Zimbra server fails with an error

Set a new value for the maximum upload size by running the command:

zmlocalconfig -e rest_request_max_upload_size=value

Note: Specify the value in bytes.

Restart to make the change take effect:

zmmailboxdctl restart

You are now able to successfully upload files up to the new maximum size limit.

works fine for me with 2Gb mailbox after setting this value on the destination server (and also on the source server in the doubt).
