is there a preference to disable reading pane in message view

A few of my users prefer to have just a list of messages. No matter how much I try to teach them the benefits of the reading pane and/or the conversation view, they still complain and just want to have a list of emails. It's easy enough to click on the reading pane selection or even the keyboard shortcut "rp", but they still insist on having it disabled permanently.

Is there a way to have a user select or not select that the reading pane show up?

If they go into the Options > Mail screen, uncheck "Always show the reading pane", and hit "Save", that should do it. If not, does setting zimbraPrefReadingPaneEnabled to TRUE on their account work?

(PS - This is on 4.5; not sure about earlier versions.)

1) That's what I'm looking for, but it's not in 4.0.x
2) It's going to be in the next version
