Default Tomcat Error when opening attachments

Hi,

I recently switched to using https for the webmail client. Now, when I try to open an attachment, I get a Tomcat Error:

HTTP Status 403 - must authenticate

type Status report

message must authenticate

description Access to the specified resource (must authenticate) has been forbidden.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.15

Please advise,
Dan

look in your tomcat access logs and see how the request is coming in. I wonder if this mail/attachment was around before you did the switch over. If so there might be some pages cached in your browser and its trying to use those which might have http and not https in the URL. Just a thought.

I made the switch and had no problems

Default Tomcat Error when opening attachments

We have migrated to Zimbra since the beginning of May, and Zimbra has always been configured to be accessable only on HTTPS.

But I have the same error while trying to open an attachment after an inactive period of time (I let my Zimbra session open, but I work on other applications, and if I return in Zimbra and I try to open an attachment after a certain amount of time, I have exactly this error).

This is extremly boring so, what can I do ?
Is there a parameter that I can change in order to avoid this ?

Regards

I also had that kind of error msg from time to time...
I have to disconnect then login again to fix it.

I am seeing the exact same error. The user claims to be actiely using the web client, but when he goes to view an attachement he gets the error. I have Zimbra in mixed / forced HTTPS mode (It refers from HTTP to HTTPS at login, and then stays in HTTPS). The authentication timeout is set to 12 hours, so that should not be the cause. Has anyone come up with a better answer than to logout and login again?
