    Question Need help with SMTP

I have a working install of Zimbra OSE. I am trying to allow my WHMCS (billing script) connect and send out emails via SMTP from and external server. I have tried every combination of ports and security type and every connection is refused. I have search all over the internet and tried to search on the forums for a solutions before posting here but I can't find one.

    Please help!

Edit: Screwed up sorry. Please move to correct forum. SORRY

The correct submission port is 587 and it requires authentication but you'll need to give some more details of what exactly is happening and what error messages you're seeing when you try to authenticate or submit an email.

The attached file is what I am working with. I have tried port 587 w/ none, SSL, TLS and w/ (username) support and support@xxxxx.com and host as FQDN and IP doesn't work...

The error I am getting looks like this, "SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

I have also confirmed that port 587 is open on the firewall just like all the other needed ports. Same process to open SSH and it works.

That port is working for me, what version of ZCS are you using? As you cannot "connect to host" I'd suggest you login to the Zimbra server then try a telnet to that port and then try from another PC and see what happens.

We have decided to move to Zimbra NE Pro. Once this move is complete in the next couple of days we are going to see if we have the same issues. (From scratch install)

Thx for your quick replies phoenix
