Zimbra OSE 7.1.1 GA 3204 running on SUSE SLES 11 SP1
Hi Guys,
I am having issues querying, starting or stopping my zimbra services!
I get prompted for a root password for each service zmcontrol tries to start and some services when services are queried. Running the service script as root does the job though.Code:$ id uid=2059(zimbra) gid=2030(zimbra) groups=5(tty),51(postfix),2030(zimbra) $ zmcontrol status Unable to determine enabled services from ldap. Enabled services read from cache. Service list may be inaccurate. Host csmail-s01.staging.credoc.be ldap Stopped logger Stopped zmlogswatchctl is not running root's password:
I ran /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmfixperms --extended but it did not fix the problem.Code:# service zimbra status Unable to determine enabled services from ldap. Enabled services read from cache. Service list may be inaccurate. Host csmail-s01.staging.credoc.be ldap Stopped logger Stopped zmlogswatchctl is not running mailbox Stopped mysql.server is not running. zmmailboxdctl is not running. mta Stopped postfix is not running zmsaslauthdctl is not running snmp Stopped zmswatch is not running. spell Stopped zmapachectl is not running stats Stopped zmconfigd Stopped zmconfigd is not running.
Can you help me figure out what is wrong?
Background info
It might be useful but I can't see how.
In an attempt to do a test bare metal restore. I shutdown the server (which is a VM in VMWare).
I then created another "test VM" with the same specs and installed the OS to reflect the hostname, etc.
I ran a test restore. Documented the event and scratched the "test VM"
I then started the original server and got the above problem.
That's it!
Any help is appreciated!
