Default how to automatically delete more than n number of days.. queued emails

My application server is triggering huge emails... some are valid and some are not valid(domain or MX record doesn't exist). My production mail server is getting slower due to increase of queued emails count, and then I am presently deleting those emails manually by going to web admin panel.

Is there any way to automatically delete n number of days queued emails.

If you did that automatically then you'd run the risk of deleting email that is legitimately queued for various reasons (i.e. the receiving server is down etc.). The mail will disappear after the queue lifetime, why don't you just change that?
