I'm rereading the eula and it sounds bit odd.

If I'm understanding this correctly
* you cannot remove any existing logos - doesn't forbid adding more

But the second sentence:
* you may not modify .. instead use the source code version under the appropriate Open Source Licenses

So.. If you want to make any changes or modifications to the product, you need to use the source code version and compile it yourself instead prebuild binaries?
That sounds bit painful to do for a simple logo addition since it's just a one extra line into jetty template and one file in jettys image directory.

Can someone else comment on that EULA sentence?
It's bit unclear to me.

Seems pretty simple to me.

• If you want quick and easy modification of logos, more features, commercial support, etc, buy the Network Edition.
• If you just want to use Zimbra and don't care about logos or extras, download and use the OSE version.
• If you really want to customize it, download the source code and go to town.

It all boils down to what gives you the greater value. If you are using the software for commercial purposes, then what is worth more to you: the $$$ value of Zimbra NE and the ability to save time using its built-in logo customization features, or the value of your own time to customize and build Zimbra from source?

A bit off topic, but related. Can a simple update be applied to ZCS to make it Network Edition? Or does the whole system need to be re-installed & configured?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can install a network edition over a free version and back.
