    Default Restore single account fails

    Hello,
I am using the Zimbra Admin GUI on the Zimbra server to restore an account.
I choose last available backup and prefix it with restored_. I've also tried picking an earlier date to no avail.
The resulting window finishes but it is blank. The restored account is created but it is empty.

The account I am trying to restore is 3GB+. When I restore another smaller account (300mb's) it works fine. Other than the size, I am not aware of any other differences between the two accounts.

Here are some entries in mailbox.log regarding the failed restore:

com.zimbra.common.service.ServiceException: permission denied: can not access account
My guess is that you're not a full admin and don't have authority to do a restore. I saw throughout your logs 'Delegated access'.

    Hi lytledd,
Thanks for taking time out to think about this,

Puzzling as the restore worked for another account using the same restore method.

Here is a log entry for the account the restore worked for:
    2012-08-08 17:46:25,024 INFO [btpool0-8273://zimbra.xxxxxx.edu/service/soap/NoOpRequest] [name=restored_xxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.edu;aname=admin@xxxx xx.edu;mid=1057;ip=yy.yyy.yyy.yyy;ua=ZimbraWebClie nt - FF3.0 (Linux)/6.0.12_GA_2883;] misc - delegated access: doc=NoOp, delegating account=admin@pcad.edu, authenticated account=restored_xxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.edu, target account=restored_xxxxxx@pcad.edu

Note that delegated access occurs for the account that was successfully restored as well as the account that failed to restore.

There must be something different between the two accounts that returns access denied for one and not the other.

Had the same problem some time ago and I was able to restore using the command line if you have access?

zmrestore -a account-to-restore@mydomain.com -ca -pre restored

    Thanks alto for your input.
When running the command line, I received an error which was very useful.
The error: 'Error occurred: system failure: Error executing redoOp'

    It lead me to:
    Ajcody-Backup-Restore-Issues - Zimbra :: Wiki

Will try ' --ignoreRedoErrors ' and see what happens.

    Thanks again alto,
By adding --ignoreErrors, I was able bypass the error and get a hold of a good backup.
