    Default Can't access Zimbra -- Please help.

    I'm trying to send emails out and I'm getting an error back from my client saying that it couldn't login. I found this very weird so I have started investigating. This is what I've done:

    1. Reboot computer thinking that it was a network connection problem: no luck.
    2. Logged into the terminal and ping'ed the server 192.168.2.50 (Zimbra server): Pinged fine
    3. Went into browser to go to Zimbra control panel: Cannot connect to website.
    4. I went back to the terminal and it pings fine again.
    5. Went back to browser and still can't connect to the web client or the zimbra admin. It says:
    Code:
    Unable to connect
    Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.2.50
    6. I pressed CTRL+F5 to force cache re-load: No luck.

    Can someone please help me get this up and running?

    You can start by updating your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread):

    Code:
    zmcontrol -v
    Has your server had any updates? Is this a ZCS update? Have you checked the services are up and running ("zmcontrol status")? If they're not running, what's in the log files? Have you checked that SElinux and the firewall are disabled?
    Regards

    I finally got into the admin panel. Before I did, I logged back into the terminal and ran the status check and it showed as everything Running.

    Then I restarted everything with zmcontrol restart and now it is showing this:
    Code:
    perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
    perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
    	LANGUAGE = (unset),
    	LC_ALL = (unset),
    	LC_TIME = "en_CA_custom.UTF-8",
    	LANG = "en_CA.UTF-8"
        are supported and installed on your system.
    perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

    	logger                  Stopped
    		zmlogswatchctl is not running
    	mailbox                 Running

    	spell                   Running
    	stats                   Running
    	zmconfigd               Running
    I still cannot send messages but I'm now receiving them.

    Here is the output:
    Code:
    $ sudo -u zimbra ./zmcontrol -v
    perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
    perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
    	LANGUAGE = (unset),

        are supported and installed on your system.

    You do need to look in the log files for the errors, as I mentioned earlier. You might also want to take a look at these threads for your perl/locale problem.

    Thanks for your help. I'm not too sure which log to look at and which one not to.

    More info: I have been sending and receiving emails fine within the Zimbra WebClient. I'm now only getting problems when I try to send with Thunderbird.

    The problem seems to have solved itself. I have no idea why. All services are now up and running.
