I don't like this bug either... I voted for it!
Hi everybody, I am experiencing a similar problem with personas and return-path. Here is our setup:
-Zimbra 7.2.0
-Account generalsupport@....com has many aliases (supportOfficeA, support OfficeB....)
-Some users can send support mails as one of the aliases of generalsupport (e.g. userA can send mail as supportOfficeA: on the admin console I configured "Allow sending mail only from these addresses" adding supportOfficeA to userA, then I created a persona for userA selecting supportOfficeA in "from:" address
-If userA sends a mail as supportOfficeA, the recipient receives an email from generalsupport@ and not supportOfficeA@, and if he replies to that mail, the mail is sent to generalsupport@ address.
-The email in Sent folder of userA contains:
From: Support Office A<supportOfficeA@...com>
But the email in the received folder of the recipient contains
From: Support Office A<generalsupport@...com>
Is it a consequence of zimbraSmtpRestrictEnvelopeFrom set to true? If I set it to False for our COS I solve the problem?
Thank you in advance.
