Send mail without SMTP relay

Hello all , i'm trying to setup my zimbra server to send mail in standalone mode. I mean without external smtp relay. But it does not work.

Does somebody know how to do that ?

It certainly does work but you're going to have to give some more details about the 'problem'. Have you actually looked at some of the many forum threads on this topic? Have you read the Quick Start Installation Guide on the required configuration? Are you behind a NAT router or firewall and if you are, have you configured a Split DNS? What errors do you receive and what errors in the log files?

Zimbra uses postfix as the smtp transport. Postfix is probably used by at least 20% of the globe for transporting mail, so if you can't get it to work you are probably doing it wrong (as the actress said to the bishop).

More information would be helpful.

If you look in /var/log/zimbra.log, what errors are being reported when it tries to send mail?
