    Default Question :zimbra and backup on four virtual server

    Hi;
    I have zcs-6.0.8 32bit opensource on centos 5.5 on a physical machine.
    Now I want to move it on VMware. But I want to separate the web from MTA and data. two users communicate via ldap and imap when Data is on our SAN.
    and two other machine for backup.
    is it possible for Zimbra?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello izadi60,
    it's surely possible to migrate a physical zimbra server to a VMWare environment, and it's surely possible to "split" the services on different servers as well.
    The options to do such things are many, and the Zimbra Wiki is a good place to start looking for informations.
    Some useful links:
    - Zimbra Docs : Zimbra Collaboration Suite Multiserver Installation Guide
    - Bug 11423 - disaster recovery through server to server sync (beta) : Bugzilla entry on server-to-server sync (expecially comment #56 and #58)
    - » Zimbra :: Blog : Zimbra Blog's article on Zimbra-to-Zimbra migration, one of the many options available

    If you give more informations about your needs such as number of users, available CPU/Storage resources and clarifications about the "two users communicate via ldap" part I'm sure the community will be glad to help

    Thanks Friends , I read them and then tested them with 1 LDAP Server,1 replica LDAP, 1 MTA and 1 Mailbox server. everything seems to be fine but for moving from one server to these, Exporting Users Data (Emails) and then Import them takes a lot of time and DOWNTIME will be high. Also Impoting mails make Unread mail as REAd and It is not OK,
    So I want to know can I keep my current single server as my mailbox server and then have separate new LDAP and new MTA Server?
