I haven't seen too much traffic in this forum in regards to 7.2.0.
What have been your experiences with upgrade from previous version to 7.2.0 and what have been your experiences with running it?

Release 7.2.3_GA_2872.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition
Hi,
I'am very disapointed by the removal of samba and posix zimlets.
My question is just : Why !!! It doesn't make sense !!!
Regards,
Centos5_64 - FOSS 7.1.4 -> 7.2 ... Smooth upgrade as usual for me.
Only hassle I have ever had to date with updates is having to re-add the postfix TLS stuff - and reduce the number of amavisd pre-forked children. I wish they made it easier to carry modifications to main.cf and amavisd.conf.in over through an upgrade.
I had never encountered some of the Admin panel issues other people had with 7.1.4 so I cannot say I notice anything particularly different. But then again ... that's a good thing in my case.
You're mistaken, they haven't been removed. If you read the Release Notes and the bug report you'll see that they are still available in the Gallery.
Although these zimlets were initially provided by Zimbra they were never officially supported by them, they are Community supported and the zimlets are (and always have been) available for Community members to enhance, modify and fix any bugs in them.
Regards
Bill
All of my mailbox servers decided they wanted local copies of the license file to be present on the server in order to upgrade. Servers that didn't have mailboxd didn't care. Previous versions of ZCS trusted the license retrieved from the LDAP server. The main setup script still trusts the license in LDAP, it doesn't bail until it gets to the mailboxd-specific setup stuff.
My outgoing TLS settings got lost in postfix and had to be re-applied.
The BES server decided it wasn't going to trust my SSL certificates anymore, and I had to tweak a registry key to get it to accept the self-signed certs.
The above were all upgrade-process issues... As far as how it runs, we haven't discovered any problems, and most of the big glaring bugs from 7.1.4 that were biting us seem to be gone.
Went well for the most part (although I'm single-server, so upgrades are always smooth).
Only issue was Outlook-related and is being actively fixed: see bug 73440.
Fixed a bad bug with Webdav/Windows drive mapping, where a DL user given access to a folder mounted on a drive in Windows couldn't upload new files to it. That was the big difference for me. Oh, and S/MIME of course![]()
Hi all,
In a test server, as n.sossonko says "single server, upgrade always smooth".
Just a little misbehavior in calendar reminders prevented to upgrade production server, searching pm.zimbra.com found this Bug 69570 – Error displaying user cuota , spanish related.
So, i'll wait for 7.2.1, anyways 7.1.4 suit ours FOSS needs (no S/MIME).
ccelis.
Seems fine in testing here.
Still waiting for either the inevitable patch or 4-5 weeks without reading any horror stories on here before going production. There's not much in 7.2 to make me want to jump to it.
Having said that I'd say the lack of posting is probably a good thing. I don't see many "It's all good" posts in the forums.![]()
Updated from 7.1.3NE on Centos6 to 7.2.0 NE. No problems detected.
