I confirm, same here.
There is a bug report about it: #73162
The admin documentation about it.
As a workaround you can get it from the Network edition (cf. bug report).
Maybe also from FOSS 7.1.4, I didn't try as yet.

I attached the zimlet's zip file so you don't need to download the whole network zcs.
The zimlet also works for:
8.0.0_GA_5434.FOSS (thanks to troublemaker for testing)
To be complete I added the zimlet from version 8 (from zcs-NETWORK-8.0.0_GA_5434.UBUNTU12_64.20120907144808).
How to:
- download the zip file for your version.
for Zimbra 8: rename the zip file to read com_zimbra_viewmail.zip- deploy the zimlet in your Zimbra admin console
- log out and back in to the console: the view mail button should be there.
I went hunting for this in the gallery and it's not there... Is it part of the installation someplace?Quote:

Similar problem for me. Completed a fresh install of ZCS 8.0 ( Release 8.0.0_GA_5434.RHEL6_64_20120907144639 UNKNOWN FOSS edition) (AWS AMI) and noticed when I logged in as 'Admin' the 'View Mail' option was not where it was described in the documentation:
"-Go to Manage>Accounts.
-Select the account to view and in the gear icon click View Mail. The account mailbox is opened in a new window."
Are others having this problem, and more importantly, is there a fix?
I updated my post to include version 8.0.0_GA_5434.FOSS.
Thank you ! It worked for me. All I had to do was to rename the zip file in com_zimbra_viewmail.zip and then import it via the administration console. Logout from webadmin and login again activates it.

I'd like to ask the Original Poster to add this instruction to the main page, as other users might have a few question marks deploying the v8. The file MUST BE RENAMED from com_zimbra_viewmail_v8.zip to com_zimbra_viewmail.zip after it is downloaded, or deployment won't work.Quote:
