What about checking if your certificates are expired or some of these threads: site:zimbra.com +"dict_ldap_connect: Unable to set STARTTLS" +solved - Yahoo! Search Results

nah..it cant be possible Its fresh installation with almost 2 months old. Certs can b expired so soon. This seems to be a bug as nobody has found the solution for the issue so far.

Did you or another administrator recently change any settings?

How old is the server hardware?

Have you run a memory check on the system with memtest86+?

Just some food for thought. I've seen seemingly random server issues that were due to one of the above reasons.

Did you move Zimbra onto another server with more RAM or add additional RAM before initial deployment?

If so, i've seen some post regarding, something like memory percentage assigned that must be adjusted.

    other things to check:

    - make sure your system clock is set correctly (and also check the certificate expiration anyway - if your clock was off when the certificate was generated it could show up as expired now even though it hasn't been a year yet).

    - The errors all indicate problems connecting to the LDAP server. Check /var/log/zimbra.log to see if there are any errors from the ldap server during startup. OpenLDAP might log issues with the certificates during startup if it finds any.

    Default Same issue here.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I am seeing the same problem. Happened yesterday mid-day and took a reboot to get things working again. Never has happened before.

Certificates are all up to date and no changes at all have been made to the server since Feb of this year.

    Release 7.1.3_GA_3346.RHEL5_20110928134520 CentOS5 FOSS edition.

If anyone needs any additional information let me know.

    Angry zimbra stoped suddenly

it happened more than twice for me on different servers I guess it related to the DNS or CA problem but I couldn't find the main reason
