    Unhappy RHEL4 to RHEL6 upgrade trouble

    I'm performing an OS/hardware upgrade of Zimbra 7.1.4 from RHEL4 to RHEL6 (both 64bit). This is our dev system for now.

    This is what I've done so far and the problems I've encountered:

    * Install OS on new VM
    * Installed 7.1.4 via ./install.sh -s
    * Removed /opt/zimbra
    * Restoed /opt/zimbra from RHEL4
    * Run installer again via ./install.sh (without -s)

    Problem I'm hitting is perl library related after I answer YES to verify the integrity of the database:

    Code:
    mysqld is alive
    perl: symbol lookup error: /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/auto/Data/UUID/UUID.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr
    mysqld is alive
    Stopping mysqld...
    And the installation just exists.

    I also noticed the following odd message prior to this, but not sure if it is related?

    Code:
    Prerequisite check complete.
    Checking current number of databases...
    df: no file systems processed
    Checking for a recent backup
    I found a reference to this error and suggesting to remove the /opt/zimbra/zimbramon/lib/x86_64-linux-thread-multi directory, however, If I do that I get the following error instead:

    Code:
    Verifying integrity of message store databases. This may take a while.
    Starting mysqld...done.
    mysqld is alive

    Default

    I would say I answered my own question, but this is partly correct. One system (master ldap) did upgrade correctly after saying NO to the DB integrity check.

    However, the slave ldap server FAILED int he upgrade.

    NM - firewall issue on the slave server. The answer was to say NO to the DB integrity check.
