    Hi,

This is my first instalation related to zimbra server open source.
the zimbra server I installed in one CentOS 5.8 x86_64.

I configured the MX DNS with the IP private 192.168.100.7, and the server is working as expected in the local network, but outside the local network the users do not have access.

what can I to do in my server to access from anywhere?. Please you support.

I have a Public IP, if I assing this IP in a MX register the DNS show me errors, related the DNS not responding to MX,
my DNS server have the following configuration

    ns dn1.mydomain.co.cr
    mx 10 zmail.mydomain.co.cr

    in A dn1 (public IP)

    IN A local IP(192.168.100.7) zimbra

    Please your help.

    Best regards
    Andres

Hi, look at My Notes for Installing Zimbra 7.1.3 on Ubuntu Server 10.04.3 LTS

An excelent guide, i guess you need to configure Split-DNS.

    Regards.

Then it would be an idea to post your question in the correct forum not the Zimbra Desktop forum (which is where you've posted), I'll move this thread.

    Hi folks,

I have been reading, maybe my issue is fixed if I add to DNS configuration the split DNS.
    Do you have some documentation?
    Best Regards

    Yes.

Both of those questions have been answered many times in the forums, search the forums and wiki for the Split DNS article and read the Product Documentation including the Quick Start Installation Guide.
