    Default Zimbra as Intranet server

I want to use Zimbra as Intranet/Groupware server. Currently we have no DNS implementation, everything is WINS/workgroup with Samba. The offical mail servers are hosted remotely. What are my options? I probably need to set up a local MTA, DNS and use fetchmail to retrieve the mail from the remote server, right?

    Thanks!

That's pretty much correct except that Zimbra has an MTA as part of it's package.

Could you setup your hosted services to forward the mail directly? Such as in the split-domian found in the wiki.
