long term OS want to trial NE

Hi,

been running zimbra server for ages, with thunderbird as a client, but the customer wanted shared calenders and lightning was an administrative nightmare to set up.
I've tried the zimbra desktop but its a bit flakey and doesnt handle the email side of things as well as the customer wants.
ZD has lost its config several times & emails appear to become empty and the account needs to be reconfigured.
Can I run a trial of NE on my server - eg upgrade to NE 7.1.4 and see how it goes with outlook as a client? the servers done nothing but run OS edition since v5 now on v7.1.2

If you're running Debian as mentioned in your profile then the answer is no, Debian is not a supported platform for NE.

Running Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS

debian 5 - so yesterday :)

They both are as far as I'm concerned. :) The answer to your question then, obviously, becomes yes. The usual advice applies, make sure you take a backup of your OSS version before the upgrade.

You might like to update your forum profile with the current version of ZCS that you're using.

around the place so updating the version in my profile gets a bit pointless.

So to do the NE for 60 days I just fill in the form, download the NE installer and install it over the top?

Just want to confirm that's right..
