Zimbra automatically creates an account admin@mydomain.com on install.

I presume that this is taking up one of my licences and would like to free the licence up for a user. Since it only receives mail related to backups and the daily mail reports (I've removed admin rights from it) I'm thinking of converting the account to a resource as described here.

What I am concerned about is whether this will interfere with the generation of the backup and daily mail reports as these are all sent from the admin account and I find them useful.

Also I've noticed a message related to the admin account when I update Zimbra to the latest version. Will an update re-create the admin account as an account and therefore possibly push me over my licence limit ?
