    Default Mail sending problem

I am seeing the same issue, but I can't find that it is a firewall issue. Below is my pix config anything look wrong there? My ISP says it is related to us not having a PTR record with them.

This isn't the same problem as the thread in which you posted. If you are having a problem you should provide adequate information about what's happening and a full description of what's wrong. You should also post any errors you see in the log files and search the forums for similar errors.

In this case you may have a problem with your pix firewall, search the forums for the word 'pix' and see if it applies to you and if it doesn't then provide details of what's wrong on your system. I've also moved this to a separate thread.
    Regards

I'm seeing the exact same error was what was in that other post.

    Feb 20 11:35:05 mail postfix/smtp[1792]: 942905C1B51: to=<lindsey.lewis@us.randstad.com>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=5, d$
    Feb 20 11:35:05 mail postfix/smtp[1792]: 942905C1B51: to=<rich.neely@usrandstad.com>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=5, delay$
    Feb 20 11:35:05 mail postfix/qmgr[11935]: 942905C1B51: removed
    Feb 20 11:35:08 mail postfix/smtp[1799]: 86FD85C1B52: to=<lindsey.lewis@us.randstad.com>, relay=us.randstad.com.s200a1.psmtp.com[207.1$
Feb 20 11:35:27 mail postfix/smtp[1859]: connect to usrandstad.com[82.98.86.165]:25: Connection timed out
    $0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to usrandstad.com[82.98.86.165]:25: Connection timed out)

We can receive all mail, send and receive all internal mail, and send only some mail externally. Otherwise we would have a ton of deffered messages that all have connection timeout on 25

I've already given you a starting point for debugging this problem, start there.

The fact you can send '...some mail externally...' would indicate it's not the same problem as the other thread, Is the highlighted text in the error messages your server & IP address? If it is and my original suggestion doesn't fix your problem you may need a Split DNS (search the wiki and forums for details) and if that's not the problem you need to investigate why you can send mail to some domains and not others.

I have 'Enabled DNS Lookups' on the MTA settings of server and global. This seems to have helpd push 90% of them through with still a few hanging out there. Could that then still be related to not having a PTR record as our ISP has suggested?
