    Default Email bounces to gmail and yahoo

    I have been using zimbra for the last two years without any problem. From last week onwards all my mails to gmail and yahoo domains are in mail queue and not delivering the mail properly. The message seen in the mail queue is 'Delivery temporarily suspended. Connect to alt4.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com. Connection refused. I checked the email reputation in the senderbase.org and it is in poor status. Then I checked the mail server again and I assume that one of our clients was using the outlook for sending the mail and there is a huge volume of mail from this account. So I stopped the account and even after 3 days, I couldnt send mail to gmail and yahoo.
    Please help me to solve this problem

    What's the significance of using Outlook? If they're sending an unusually high volume of mail then perhaps you ought to ask them why? You might also want to find out if they're infected with a bot or some other malware sending email.

    Then you need to fix the problem by checking your server status on one of the many RBL check sites to see if that's what causing your problem or check with yahoo or gmail to see why the mail is rejected.

    You can check your public IP of mail server MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox or sorbs.net

    The client configured outlook for sending and receiving email. But seems that there is some virus problems in that machine.
    I have checked mxtool box and there is no blacklisting except the following
    1)casa-cbl
    2)UCEPROTECTL2
    3)UCEPROTECTL3

    bUT the ip is already in teh above list from the begining itselft(ie.two years back) and we havnt faced any problem in sending mails upto last week.
    But right now we could nt send any mails to gmail and yahoo. They are not accepting our mail.
    How can I solve this and how can i contact gmail and yahoo.
    I already sent a mail to postmaster@gmail.com regarding the problem.

    Make another domain and try sending, if that works then your domain is getting blacklisted, or try sending from a different ip

    If I go to a new ip, we cant ensure that such things will not happen by any of the customer.(MAY BE). So is it a solution to go to a new ip??

    Possibly, what happens if you run your server through a blocklist site like this one?

    My ip is not listed in this block list.
    the output is


    xx.xxx.xx.xx is not listed in the SBL

    xx.xx.xx.xx is not listed in the PBL


    xx.xx.xx.xx is not listed in the XBL

    But the problem still exists

    So if you telnet into your email server and send an email there, it will instantly go to the spam folder of major email providers?
