Default Moving zimbra from one server to another

    Hi Folks,

I have setup a zimbra 7.1.1 OSS on a standby server and its now in production however we would like to move that server with existing configuration on a new server. Can you guys suggest the best way to achieve this?

1] Move /opt/zimbra to new server and install the Zimbra?

2] OR install the zimbra then stop the services and then copy the folder from older server to new server and then start the services?

This has been covered many times in the forums and wiki, there's even a Zimbra Certified article in the wiki on how to do it. Have a read of those and choose a method that suits you.

Hmmm...I did try searching a lot through Forum and Wiki but every time I ended up on serer migrations or version up-gradation.

I would really appreciate if you can point me to the right direction or article which has already covered this.

    Thanks a ton in advance.

Giving this link specifically since it doesn't appear to be (in the first page at least) of the search Phoenix linked. I've found it most useful:

Yep, I managed to resolve the issue. it was frashclam service which remains ON even after you did zmcontrol stop. I killed the services and then rsync'ed the /zimbra folder.

    Thanks for your help guys.
