Default Display pictures automatically in HTML Email

Hello,
By default Zimbra has the setting "Display pictures automatically in HTML Email" enabled. I have created all of my e-mail accounts up to date with this setting in the COS to enabled (pictures are displayed in e-mails). However, I would like to change all users setting's to NOT show images automatically.

This is a common way for spammers to know you have an active email account, often there is a unique ID contained within the URL to the image so they can know which accounts have viewed the email. If the image is not opened automatically, there will be no feedback generated.

Is there a command to change personal settings on all active accounts already created? There may be other settings that have to be changed in the future and manually changing them would take hours.

Thanks
-Zac

If I correctly understand your situation, you should be able to simply change the setting in the COS used by the accounts.

The setting in the COS only affects new accounts. i need to globally change all accounts that were already created. I have about 300 accounts and it's starting to look like I may have to do it manually.

Would something like this work?

Code:
zmprov -l gaa | while read ACCT; do echo ma $ACCT zimbraPrefDisplayExternalImages FALSE; done > /tmp/blah.txt

zmprov < /tmp/blah.txt

Actually, I found that by changing the COS and running zmcontrol restart, the setting was changed globally. A server reboot will also make the change global.
