Default Samba/LDAP setup

I am using a RH5.5 system and testing out samba with 7.1.3. I have followed the directions - fairly explicitly on the UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI wiki

samba will not start, nor can I authenticate through ldap for some reason. Below is the error when starting samba, which then crashed immediately.

mbldap_search_domain_info: Searching for:[(&(objectClass=sambaDomain)(sambaDomainName=ZMTE ST-1))]
Feb 7 10:59:32 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: [2012/02/07 10:59:32, 2] lib/smbldap.c:smbldap_open_connection(786)
Feb 7 10:59:32 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: smbldap_open_connection: connection opened
Feb 7 10:59:32 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: [2012/02/07 10:59:32, 2] lib/smbldap_util.c:add_new_domain_info(223)
Feb 7 10:59:32 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: add_new_domain_info: added: domain = ZMTEST-1 in the LDAP database
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: [2012/02/07 10:59:35, 2] lib/smbldap_util.c:smbldap_search_domain_info(256)
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: smbldap_search_domain_info: Searching for:[(&(objectClass=sambaDomain)(sambaDomainName=ZMTE ST-1))]
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: [2012/02/07 10:59:35, 0] services/services_db.c:svcctl_init_keys(420)
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: svcctl_init_keys: key lookup failed! (WERR_ACCESS_DENIED)
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: [2012/02/07 10:59:35, 0] smbd/server.c:main(1059)
Feb 7 10:59:35 zmtest-1 smbd[1674]: ERROR: failed to setup guest info.

If you notice - it creates the domain, but then gets an access denied then crashes. Im not really sure what to think.

Can anyone shed any light on this - and/or tell me what other troubleshooting items I can research?

Thanks
