Default User sending email timeout issue

This is an odd one and searching around I've come up empty handed. I'm fully sure it's a bug, so I'll wait until after I've gotten a few responses here to file a bug report.

Zimbra 7.1.4 / Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server x64 using Active Directory Auth from a windows 2008R2 server.

Basically I have 1 user out of 225+ who has this issue. When he goes into his mailbox (via any of these browsers: IE8, FF3, Crome) he just can't send email. It opens the compose window and he can create and even save drafts of the email. But when he hits the send button, it just sits there, eventually times out and sometimes gives the "server unavailable" error.

Occasioanlly the message will get out anyway, but its not consistent. Occasionally saving it to drafts and then attempting to send it from there works, but its not consistent either.

I've tried using his account on different computers - same result.
I've logged in with multiple accounts on the computers he's using - does not reproduce the issue.
I've tried renaming this account and recreating a new account with his username - same result.
I've tried deleting and recreating his AD account - same result.
No errors in any logs associated with his username.
No suspicious log entries associated with his username
No errors in logs that seem to be related in any way.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is a full server reboot, which I plan to do this weekend.

Any ideas?

The likelihood of this being a bug is possible but I'd suggest it's remote.

Please update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread):

Code:
zmcontrol -v
Have you checked the user's computer for any firewall or anti-virus (or anti-malware) software that's installed? If there is any then disable or remove it and see if that solves the problem - I'm obviously assuming it's a Windows machine. Which version (and service pack) of Windows is he using? Firefox 3 is rather old, have you tried a more recent version? Can this user send email without problems when he uses another PC to access the Web UI? Have you also checked to see if there's any connection problems from the computer to ZCS and the AD server? Is the MTU (and is it set to the correct Duplex setting) for this machine set to the correct size? Have you tried using FF with a clean user profile and no installed add-ons?

Default

Release 7.1.4_GA_2555.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition.

User system(s) are all exactly the same platform/hardware/image. Windows XP Pro SP3+all recent updates with identical configurations. IE 8 is the primary web browser (also update). Windows firewall is disabled, sophos anti-virus version 9.5 active. The systems are Deep Froze. No other user account has these issues and we have over 250+ users 70 of which are in use on identical platforms.

This account has this issue on any computer we try, including my own windows 7 pro laptop (fully updated) on IE8, Opera, and FF10.

I realize FF3 is older, but it was available to try and so try we did.

An interesting development is that over the weekend I did a full server reboot to see if maybe there was just some bad cache issues or some kind of anomaly. Now the user cannot send OR receive email. again ONLY this user.

No issues on the MTU, as size is set to 100megs in/out and again none of the other 250+ accounts are having any similiar issues.

I'm running out of ideas. (as stated I did try recreating the account to no avail). I'm just not even sure what else I can check.
