Post trash folder not purged

Hi,

mails within the trash folder will not be purged.

I had read al lot of forum threads but I could not find I solution.

zmprov ga user@my.domain | grep -i Lifetime

zimbraAuthTokenLifetime: 2d
zimbraMailDumpsterLifetime: 30d
zimbraMailMessageLifetime: 0
zimbraMailSpamLifetime: 30d
zimbraMailTrashLifetime: 21d
zimbraPasswordLockoutFailureLifetime: 1h
zimbraPrefInboxReadLifetime: 0
zimbraPrefInboxUnreadLifetime: 0
zimbraPrefJunkLifetime: 0
zimbraPrefSentLifetime: 0
zimbraPrefTrashLifetime: 21d
zmprov gacf | grep -i zimbraMailPurgeSleepInterval

zimbraMailPurgeSleepInterval: 1m
zmprov gs myserver.my.domain | grep -i zimbraMailPurgeSleepInterval

zimbraMailPurgeSleepInterval: 1m
For older version of Zimbra NE there had been a cron job but I could not find one for the current version.

Is there something missing?

Thanks for reply,

Harry

It works fine for me but your setting for zimbraPrefTrashLifetime should not be less than 30 days, see this wiki entry and I don't think that's changed in recent versions.

Thanks, but it does not work for me. I changed the values.
Is there any server process or log entry to see that a "purge process" is/were running?

You've modified it in both the account and COS?

Yes, you'll find the 'purge' output in the log files.

It was only changed in the account.

A look at mailbox.log shows a lot of entries like this:
Quote:
2012-02-07 11:56:19,389 INFO [MailboxPurge] [name=username@my.domain;mid=3;] purge - Purging messages.
But the trash folder still gets not purged.
The oldest mail is from Oct 7th, 2011.

Regards,
Harry

Default exclude folder

Heya

This is kinda what I want, but wrong

I'll explain, how do I purposely exclude a folder from purge?
Let's say archives?

When it is not possible to purge the trash folder automatically, is there a script which could be run manually?
Thanks for reply,
Harry
