Default sync "category" attribute from external openldap w/ GAL

All,

I have an external openldap server (w/ default setup) it uses the same std (core.schema
cosine.schema, inetorgperson.schema) schema available as in my Zimbra ldap - except for the Zimbra schema.

I use the "category" attribute - an optional attribute of the inetorgperson.schema, in the external ldap server and want Zimbra to pick that up and display it some where convenient - like the notes field when using the Web client.

Can anyone point me to how this can be done ? - with matching rules in Zimbra?
I do understand I will need to setup the GAL and galsync account to have Zimbra pick this up.

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks in advance,

Tribear
