Question Zimbra 7.1.4 - Personal Contacts, contact list empty when browsing addresses

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this bug? I am seeing this on a Zimbra server which has recently been upgraded to 7.1.4 FOSS / RHEL 64.

To reproduce:
1. Compose new email
2. Click the To: button
3. Select 'Personal and Shared Contacts' for the 'Show names from'
4. No contacts are displayed. Correct behaviour is that a list of all contacts should now be displayed.
5. However, if you use the search box and perform a search contacts are displayed

Problem does not occur at all on ZCS 7.1.3 FOSS. Was unable to find any reports in BugZilla.

Anyone else seen this problem? Possible solutions?

Thanks very much in advance

I can confirm this after my 7.1.4 upgrade.

Thanks a LOT for sharing this. I was going to upgrade on a customer, and it would be very problematic when they discovered this! I'll wait for a fix,

Thanks

Then you'll need to report the problem either via a support ticket or in bugzilla.

Will be the problem fixed with a newer version?

With this bug we couldn't update our Zimbra from 7.1.3 to 7.1.4...

Best Regards

I just upgraded to 7.1.4 and am seeing this problem. It only occurs using the AJAX interface, using the HTML interface the TO: and CC: autopopulate fine when selected. I'm looking the AJAX now, maybe someone could do a diff between 7.1.3 or 7.1.4? If it works in 7.1.3, my upgrade came from 5.0.16.

Not unless a bug report is filed or a Support case is opened (if you're an NE user).

We already presume there is a bug report filed, since there are multiple threads relating to this issue. If you don't like the forums or people asking questions that you feel are dumb, just let it go, stating file a bug report just adds noise to the thread that is unecessary and benefits no one.

That said I'm looking into the solution and will freely post the solution back here when I determine the issue, in the hopes that other Zimbra users will benefit from the solution and the Zimbra product will benefit.

Any news on this, this is a severe problem. I see the bug has been confirmed, but nothing else.
