Default Email-forward not working in a split-domain-setup

We have a split-domain-setup where emails are not directly delivered to the zimbra-server but via a central mail-gate and then delivered to zimbra via LMTP.

This means that users have email-adresses on the gate (adress1@domain.com) that are unknown to zimbra where users have the emailadresses USER-ID@zimbra.domain.com

This works fine, but email-forward that is setup on zimbra does not work.

I think this is very similar to the OOO (Out-Of-Office) that does not work in split-domains either unless you explicitely set this emailadresses for each zimbra-account:

zmprov ma USER-ID@zimbra.domain.com zimbraPrefOutOfOfficeReplyEnabled TRUE
zmprov ma USER-ID@zimbra.domain.com +zimbraPrefOutOfOfficeDirectAddress adress1@domain.com
zmprov ma USER-ID@zimbra.domain.com +zimbraPrefOutOfOfficeDirectAddress adress2@domain.com

Does anyone know if a similar thing or similar preferences exists for the forward-problem?

thnx,
peter
