7.1.4 install on Ubuntu10.04 splash screen hangs

Hi. I have done two complete install of this on ubuntu 10.04 amd64. the first was the 7.1.3 but i found that while the install went normally the login screens started to hang on the splash screen after a while.
i did the the whole split dns checking,, (but we run real ips anyway) no problem found.
after a week of doing zimbra restarts i upgraded to the 7.1.4. I found that it worked flawlessly for 3 days and now all of a sudden we have the same problem that we had with the 7.1.3.

Here is what happens now when i add a user at the console:
./zmprov ca test@zimbra.domain.net sniggle99

the HTMl version loads but with an undefined network error

Trace log stopped logging at the time of error with:

I can pm all the split dns dig info if required.

Is anyone having the same problem?
any help appreciated ..looks like an awesome tool would love to get it deployed.
