Double Dash in Signatures

I have one user that is having difficulty with his signature.

When he composes a mail, the signature is preceeded by two dashes '--'.

It happens when:
*HTML Signature
*Plain Text Signature
*Newly Created Signature

I found in the forums for an earlier version of Zimbra to try the following:

zmprov ma user@domain.com zimbraPrefMailSignatureStyle outlook

This does not seem to work.

The check box that is mentioned does not seem to be available. Anyone else seeing anything like this?
