Default restore a single email deleted few days ago

Hello ALl & Happy New Year!

I have a user who has deleted a mail 3 days back & doesnot have it in the Trash Folder.

How can i recover that particular email & he needs to have his mailbox intact as it is today. ie. to todays current mailbox the deleted mail shuld be restored.

The mail will stay in the Trash folder for as long as the mail Retention policy (as set in the COS unless they also deleted it from the Trash folder, in that case it's gone (as in unrecoverable) The only other option would be if the Dumpster option is set (again, in the COS), if that's also not set the I'm afraid it's gone. I'm assuming this is the OSS version?

Mails received after the date that you restored to will be gone. The easiest, fastest way to do this that I've found is to restore the single mailbox to a new account (named something like UserName_restored_date).

Login to that new clone of his account and forward him the e-mail he's looking for to his normal account, then delete the account clone. A bit of hassle, but you will get it back for him this way.
